Starting a Successful Article Marketing Campaign
It can be one of the most exciting things, starting an article marketing campaign and dreaming about all of the traffic that is going to come flooding into your website. The unfortunate thing is, for many people, the traffic never really comes as they expect and they end up getting frustrated. Some of them will continue trying and may try multiple times before they ever see the traffic that they really want. A large majority of the people that are unsuccessful with their first article marketing campaign are going to end up giving up and never trying again.
The simple fact of the matter is, being successful with article marketing does not necessarily require that you have outstanding writing skills (although it certainly does help), a vast knowledge on the subject on which you’re writing or even a lot of time on your hands. It does require, however, that you understand at least the basic principles about article marketing so that you are working in the right direction.
It is true that any article marketing campaign that you run is going to be completely different than the one that you’ve written previously. You can’t expect to hit a home run every time you’re up to the plate but you can at least be swinging at the ball. If you would like to see the most for your efforts, here is a little bit of information about how you can be successful and remain successful. Follow these basic principles and you would be surprised with how much traffic you can get to your website.
The first thing that you need to do is to choose the proper keywords and that will require some research on your part. The easiest place for you to do this research is through the Google external keyword tool, something that I talk about quite frequently. The reason why it is so beneficial to use this tool in comparison with all the others is the fact that the data is coming directly from Google, not a bunch of meta-search engines. Of course, finding the keywords is only half of the battle because you’re going to need to check them in the search index in order to know your competition and to see if you are able to beat them without too much difficulty.
The next thing that you’re going to have to do is to write your articles. This does not have to be a long and drawn out process, and it is not necessary for you to take hours to write a single article. Simply write an introduction, body with a couple of facts and a conclusion. It should not take you any longer to write an article that it would take for you to write an e-mail of comparable length.
Once the articles are written, you need to submit them to the article directories or post them on your own website or blog. Some people will take a single article and submit it to hundreds of different directories. I don’t do this, personally, and sometimes I will only submit it to one directory in order to try and write for a keyword. This has worked very well for me and the only time I submit to multiple directories is when I am looking for backlinks for search engine optimization purposes.
That is really all that there is to running a successful Article Marketing campaign. As long as you are working hard and continuing to write articles in the manner in which I spoke, you will see results from your efforts.
