Getting Started with Article Marketing
If there is one thing that I’ve learned from working on the Internet for over a decade, it’s the fact that there are a number of different ways that you can make money online. If you have some technical know-how, it is possible for you to launch any number of Internet businesses that can be successful very quickly. For people without much technical knowledge or for those who have a limited amount of time to work online, however, the absolute best thing that they can possibly do is get involved in article marketing.
There are a number of different types of article marketing, each of which has the potential to make you money for a very long time after the original work has been done. For the purpose of this blog post, however, I’m only going to discuss two different ways that articles are commonly used in order to make money online. The first type of article marketing is commonly known as bum marketing and the other is using articles to market and promote your own webpages for targeted traffic and profits.
Bum marketing became popular a few years ago whenever a free report was released which explained the entire process. In a nutshell, it said that you could basically take a bum off of the street and teach them to market and profit using online articles. Many new Internet marketers considered this to be a revelation of sorts but the fact of the matter is, it was only a form of articlemarketing that had been rewritten. In a nutshell, you write articles that are based on specific keyword phrases, often referred to as long tail keywords and you submit them to the article directories. In the resource box of the article, you direct them to a website that either reviews a product or directly sends them over to the product via an affiliate link. I have done a considerable amount of this type of article marketing myself with great success.
The other type of article marketing is using articles to drive targeted traffic to your webpage. You can then use that traffic to generate leads, sales or page views if you are using contextual advertising. The beauty about using article marketing to drive traffic directly to your website is that they are a pre-warmed group of individuals whenever they arrive there. Having read your article and taken the time to click on the link in your resource box, they are some of the most focused traffic that you will receive.
There’s no doubt about it, using article marketing is one of the best ways for you to ensure that you can get consistent traffic and make money on the Internet. Of course, there are other ways to do it but this is a great place to start. Not only that, most people consider article marketing to be the perfect business online and once they have a taste of success from it, they don’t venture far away from it.
